Firehouse Subs Grant Enables Another AutoPulse Purchase
May 7, 2013 - Thanks to a grant from the Firehouse Subs® Public Safety Foundation, the Holt Community Fire Protection District in Kearney, Missouri, now has a ZOLL AutoPulse® Non-invasive Cardiac Support Pump. This isn’t the first AutoPulse purchased with Firehouse Subs foundation money. In 2009, after collapsing at work, a South Carolina man was saved with the AutoPulse the foundation donated to the Mount Pleasant Fire Department. Holt Fire Chief Robert Looper told The Kearney Courier that if weren’t for the foundation, they never would have been able to purchase an AutoPulse. Looper said, “The problem with a human doing chest compressions is we get tired. The machine never gets tired.” |
